Our vacation went perfectly! Thanks so much to my family for watching my little girl. The weather was gorgeous. It's been hard to come back to the nasty heat and humidity of Florida! It was so nice to get in some hiking. The Smokey Mountains are so pretty! The water was nice and cold! Perfect for wading. As wonderful as our trip was, we were glad to get back home to our little girl!
The Chalet Inn in Whittier, NC is the nicest place to stay! The people are very friendly. The food was great and so were the rooms. We would definitely love to go back again.
Last of all, congratulations to friends finally getting married after 3 years! I'm sure they're enjoying their cruise this week!
Plain and simple, I'm a mom. I have a one year old daughter and I'm expecting another baby this coming february. I've been married to a great husband for two years. The twist to my fairy tale is the fact that I have epilepsy. I was diagnosed with it when I was eighteen. Since then I have been through the tests, doctors, and medicine. It's been a long, hard road sometimes. I love talking about my family and sharing my story with others.

Ready for a Road Trip!
I can't believe I haven't been on in almost a week! It's been a very busy week though. My husband took his vacation this week, and we've been running around working on stuff around the house.
We're traveling to my friends wedding in North Carolina. We're going to leave tomorrow morning and hopefully make it there around 4:00 p.m. I've never been to North Carolina so this is going to be a real treat for me!
However, we're not taking our little girl with us. She gets to spend the next four days at Grandma and Grandpa's house! I know she will be spoiled rotten when we get home. It is hard to leave her even if she does drive me crazy sometimes!
This week we took away her pacifier. The first night she cried for over an hour. It is so hard for me to listen to her that upset! I'm pretty sure it was harder on my husband. :-) She's been doing really good, and she fusses less each time we lay her down. So hopefully by the end of the week we will have won the pacifier battle!
Well, off to bed for me! Long drive ahead for my husband and I tomorrow! I will surely have many adventures to share next week.

So today is being filled with taking care of a sick little one year old. She's much better then yesterday though so that's a good thing!
While playing with her today I found out that she doesn't like to see Momma cry! I was pretending with her, and the minute I started "crying" her little lip puckered. She dropped her head on my shoulder just sobbing! It was the sweetest thing. That's when I need a camera handy.
I've been quite busy making Amish friendship bread this last week. I love it, and it's easy to make. The only part that annoys me is trying to find three people to pass the starter off to! I'm plotting on how I can make it then give it to the ladies of my church anonymously! It sounds like a good plan to me, and I won't have to feel bad by throwing the extra away.
Now that I've given away my secret plan...beware ladies!!!

Hello!
I'm excited about starting this blog. I hope everyone who someday follows it will enjoy it as well!
Today's big excitement for me was finding that my little girl has two new teeth! Isn't amazing how sometimes they scream and fuss when they're teething, and other times you'd never know? My little girl has been late in getting her teeth. She's one with four teeth(six including the two new ones). She is finally going to start chewing her food better!
